Pickerel, yellow perch, crappie and bass have been biting on the tidal backwaters of Maryland’s Eastern Shore. 45 degrees is the target temperature. Air that is, any colder and most anglers choose to stay indoors. Dress warmly and bring hot coffee. This wintertime fishing really is a treat!

Late Fall Striper Action on the Chesapeake
27 11 2018We’ve enjoyed some great fall Striper fishing on Tangier Sound and the lower bay this fall. Both chasing birds working over schooling rockfish to 30″ and the ever popular creek fishing in and around the islands. Enjoy a few photos of recent trips.

AUGUST DATES OPENED UP!
26 07 2018ALL DATES HAVE BEEN FILLED! Thanks for your overwhelming response, sorry I couldn’t work you all in. I have a few dates remaining in September, October and November.
AUGUST DATES OPENED UP!
I’ve made available four days during the last week of August that I had previously kept off the books. Dates available are August 27, 28, 29, 30. This is a great time of the year to fish out of both Crisfield and/or Madison on the Little Choptank. Crisfield will see rockfish, specks, bluefish and maybe slot reds. The Little Choptank should have its annual run of breakers, with rockfish, bluefish and possibly Spanish mackerel in the mix. The Little Choptank is especially good for those traveling from the western shore wanting a half day morning or evening trip. An easy day trip with lots of action. Call, text or email now at kjosenhans@aol.com or 443-783-3271. Walk ons can be arranged.

Choptank River Walk On Trip
I have an opening for one angler to share a full day (8 hour) trip on the Choptank River out of Cambridge. Trip date is Friday, June 8 and start time will be around 7 AM, give or take. Fly and or spin fishing is welcome. Your cost will be $275. Fishing license, tackle, ice and bottled water included. Call, text or email me if interested. Kjosenhans@aol.com, 443-783-3271.
The Choptank has been very productive for stripers running 18 to 30 inches during June for the past few years. Hope you can make it.
