Spring Breakout

After a short stint along the Virginia eastern shore for trophy red drum and stripers I’m finally back on my home waters of Tangier Sound. Speckled trout are slowly trickling in along with some decent shallow water rockfish action. Some of the specks are BIG! Water clarity has generally been very good, aside from the occasional pocket of mud caused by marauding schools of cow nose rays. They can really make a mess, and once they move onto a flat it’s best to pick up and move to greener pastures.

Kevin , fished foxes, clump island ect , found some really clean water at cedar straights , pulled a nice speck on the cork @ cedar straights, bunch of angry small rock as well
